Time-Line of Event Success

(what to do 2 months pre-event and 2-months post-event)

Timing is a key element in seminar success. Make sure to allot yourself enough time for proper planning. A minimum of 40 work days are needed to ensure a perfectly seamless event. The planning process needs to begin approximately 2 months prior to your very special event.

Questions to answer in the initial stages are:

  1. What is your niche?
  2. Who is your target audience?
  3. Do you have a compelling message to the community?
  4. What is your message?
  5. Are you having a key-note speaker?
  6. Should you invite current clients or direct mail to prospects in the area?
  7. Do you want your reservations taken for you?
  8. Then nail down:

  9. Date, Time, Location of Event
  10. Are you feeding your guests or providing a snack?
  11. Create your invitation to bring in those you seek to entertain or educate
  12. The final stages of planning include:

  13. Presentation materials
  14. Gifting to clients or prospects
  15. Follow up with a drip campaign

Seminar planning can fit into the basic standards of event planning. See please this link for our Client Event Checklist.
